Novotel London Excel

We had a lovely time at the Novotel London Excel. It all started beautifully with Fouziha, who was very welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was very nice. Although we had a small issue with the TV, the maintenance team was always quick to respond and resolve it efficiently. The meals at the Upper Deck were delicious, served in a beautiful environment. Klea and Giovanni were excellent waiters, attentive and professional throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent as well, and Carlos was a true ray of sunshine with his positive attitude. We truly enjoyed our stay and we would return.

The Novotel has an excellent location for the ExCeL, which is why we chose it. Our stay was very pleasant thanks to the clean, comfortable rooms, well equipped with everything we needed, and the extremely kind and helpful staff. A special mention goes to Giovanni at the restaurant, who welcomed us warmly, made us smile, and gave excellent menu recommendations, and to the reception staff — especially Ryan — who handled our requests with courtesy and patience. A small but negligible note: I would have appreciated having the cups, glasses, and coffee sachets replaced during room cleaning; however, I am sure that if I had asked at reception, my request would have been promptly accommodated.

We stayed at Novotel to attend the Megacon Live London event. Perfect location. Extremely friendly, polite and professional staff. Rooms are a decent size, clean and comfortable. Our standard twin room had a bath and shower; separate toilet, tea/coffee station, safe, mini fridge, ironing board/iron, desk and sofa chair. I wish the fridge had a bigger capacity and they do have the space to be able to provide this. However we had 2 rooms (2 fridges) so made it work. I like how only people staying at the hotel can access the rooms (you have to use your room key to do so) which makes it feel more safe and secure. We didn't use the room service, restaurant or bar so can't comment on these. However there is a Tesco Express and a Nisa shop a very short walk away. I've mobility difficulties and was able to walk there and back with minimal pain/discomfort. You can also uber food to the hotel and meet them right outside the hotel. Would recommend the hotel for anyone attending events at the Excel or just visiting London in general.

We stayed at Novotel for the first time during our recent trip to London and, as frequent visitors to the city, this has been one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The location is extremely convenient, with the cable cars and Custom House station just a few minutes’ walk away — ideal when you’re working to a busy schedule. We arrived a few hours early, simply hoping to store our luggage. We were warmly welcomed by the absolutely lovely Catherine, who went above and beyond by arranging an early check-in three hours ahead of schedule. She also kindly offered us a complimentary drink and enrolled us in the ALL Accor points scheme, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was spotless, the facilities were excellent, and we even enjoyed a couple of drinks on the balcony with fantastic views. We’ll definitely be choosing to stay here more often. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you so much to Catherine and the entire team for looking after us so well.

I stay at Novotel London every year when I'm in town for an event at the Excel Centre. The location is perfect - just walking distance from the convention center, which is incredibly convenient when you're dealing with a packed schedule The food here is excellent, so I don't have to stress about finding somewhere to eat when time is tight. Their fish and chips are particularly my fav. The breakfast bar is also a highlight - they really put thought into it. This visit they even had honeycomb, which was a nice touch Staff is great. Everyone has been welcoming and helpful, and Marco went above and beyond to take great care of us during our stay. That kind of personal attention makes all the difference.

I stayed for six days, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I was especially impressed by the excellent service from Auriez and Itore at the café. Thanks to their warm and attentive hospitality, I was able to start each day in a very pleasant way. They genuinely care about how to make guests feel comfortable and happy, which made breakfast a truly enjoyable experience. The food was absolutely delicious!

I’ve now stayed at this hotel twice, each time for 2–3 days, and I can honestly say the experience has been consistently exceptional. Great Location. Everything feels seamless and well-managed. The rooms are always immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The variety of options available for breakfast is great. Everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The wellness facilities are also a standout feature. The sauna and steam rooms are clean, and perfectly maintained. I also want to personally mention Rhys, who is absolutely outstanding. He is professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. On both of my stays, he ensured everything ran smoothly and made me feel valued as a guest. His standard of service is exceptional, and he is a real asset to the hotel. It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers such consistency across multiple stays, but this hotel does exactly that. I will definitely be returning again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality, comfort, and excellent service.

I had a great stay at Novotel London ExCeL. The location is excellent, especially if you’re visiting the ExCeL Centre or staying around Canary Wharf — everything is convenient and easy to get to, with good transport links nearby. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet, What really stood out was the staff — Marco was ultra friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any questions I had were handled quickly and politely. Overall, it was a comfortable and stress-free stay, and I’d happily return. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travellers.
